New Helmet Law for Young Skiers in Effect
Families travelling to New Jersey this winter for ski trips will be subject to a new law that requires all children under the age of 18 to wear helmets while on the slopes. According to a report by USA Today, a Consumer Products Safety Commission study found that helmet use could prevent more than 7,000 head injuries per year, particularly among children.

Fault, in a legal sense, stems from a breach of a person’s duty to use reasonable care in operating their motor vehicle. CSA Aims to Curb Trucking Accidents
Trucking companies and their drivers have been preparing for a new safety initiative that will have a major impact on the industry. The Comprehensive Safety Analysis (CSA 2010) is designed to limit the number of serious trucking accidents. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration created the program to find unsafe drivers and companies before they cause serious injuries to other drivers by using a three-part process consisting of measurement, evaluation and intervention

NJ Takes the Lead in Protecting Against "Ice Missiles" on the Highway

They’re sometimes known as "ice missiles," and for good reason: Throughout the northern U.S., ice flying off of vehicles has caused injuries, snarled traffic and even resulted in death. In 2007, the Pennsylvania Turnpike was closed for six hours when a tanker truck carrying a flammable liquid rolled over after being hit by ice from a tractor trailer. In early 2010, a Chicago-area man was injured and his face disfigured when ice from a truck passing in the opposite direction was dislodged and struck his windshield.
